Walk through the door of The Day Salon and the warmth envelops you – friendly people, easy smiles, expert hands. Our staff aren’t just good at what they do - they’re expert at putting people at ease. Which is exactly as it should be.

Our Clarins Gold Salon, celebrating its 10th birthday this year, specialises in the premium French brand’s products and treatments. Since 2014 it has been the only salon in Guernsey to hold the award and is one of only around 80 in the whole of the UK. And that means plenty of promotions on products and treatments throughout the year, as well as a Clarins For Me loyalty scheme available with all Clarins purchases.

We also specialise in Elemis, the British spa brand loved by everyone – and with good reason. We’ve selected our headline brands with impeccable care. Here, the therapists genuinely love what they do, and they take pride in working with the best in the business.

It’s probably infectious: with more than three decades of experience to her name, owner Racheal Day could not be better placed to ensure her staff are among the best-trained in Guernsey. After years at a leading Clarins spa, she set up the Guernsey College of Further Education’s beauty training course. As programme manager for Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, her knowledge and expertise opened up a new world of opportunities for hundreds of women – and not just the ones she was responsible for training.

These days she prides herself on keeping up to the minute on new treatments, and her Cert. Ed in teacher training means she’s perfectly placed to pass on that expertise to The Day Salon staff.

That means you’re in excellent hands from the moment you arrive. Individual attention? Goes without saying. You’ll begin with a personal consultation, when your therapist will select the perfect treatment for you and – we think this is also important - for your budget. And that attention to detail (and those ready smiles) work for everyone – we love what we do and we get to know our clients well. Most importantly, they keep coming back. And that, we think, speaks for itself…

SALON ETIQUETTE

Arriving late for your appointment is likely to limit the time allocated for your treatment. It will also lessen the effectiveness and, more importantly, your pleasure and enjoyment.

If you wish to cancel an appointment, please give us 24-hour notice to avoid paying a cancellation fee of 50% of the treatment cost. Otherwise, the full treatment cost will be charged.

We are unable to accommodate children under the age of 5 in the salon with you during your treatment unless prior agreement has been arranged.

We ask that you do not use mobile phones in the salon, to avoid disturbing both your own and other clients’ relaxation.
